Creative marketing is more than some flashy pictures and a catchy slogan on a billboard- or a web page. It’s a way to brand your business, get your name remembered, and most importantly, get your message across even when you don’t meet your customers eye-to-eye or shake their hands.

Creative marketing can be as simple as two words - “Got milk?” - or as intricate as the #1 sheep “eighty-sixing” the #86 sheep out the window when he gets too comfortable on a Serta® mattress.

Creative marketing is not so much in your name as in how you spread it! It’s thinking out of the box and linking your business with your products and services in a way that makes them memorable to both your customers and your potential customers. (Is it live or is it Memorex®?)

Creative marketing doesn’t have to be expensive. If you’ve been to Paris, you’ve maybe seen the sign “Wall Drug, 5961 Miles - Wall, South Dakota”. There are similar signs around the world and throughout the United States. Wall Drug gave these signs to their customers in a creative marketing effort that brought International attention to a small business in a (then) small town in South Dakota. Through creative marketing, your customers remember your business “face”, whether or not you ever meet them face-to-face!

Although the Internet isn’t the birthplace of creative marketing, it certainly has helped the concept grow both on and off line.
